Strangely the teachings of Jesus Christ aren’t as well known as the fact that he was born in a manger and died on the cross.

Religion usually claims that belief in these two biographical facts plus membership of a particular church suffice for our own salvation.

But what have we done with all those seemingly abstruse pages in the New Testament? Who even really knows them except the Lord’s prayer and Hail Mary? Can we put any of his words to practical use in our daily lives?

Yogananda’s commentaries on the teachings of Jesus open the gates to  brilliant humor, priceless knowledge and fathomless depth. Without mercy this great yoga master and Jesus lead us to an inner source of bliss, where mercy is the only reality!

In this seminar we will explore some of the parables and teachings of the great Master of Galilee, and study ways to put them to practical use in our own lives.

Some features:

-the parables, their humor, depth and practical applicability.

-Jesus on the yoga mat

-how his teachings can inspire our creativity in daily life: family, work, social.

Please note all workshops and classes are non-refundable. Credit for future classes can be applied to account if at least a 24 hr notice is received. Thank you.

About Darshan Lotichius

Darshan is a long time friend and active member of our Ananda Dallas family. This year marks his fourth annual visit to Dallas to teach and share inspiration. Jan Lotichius was born in Holland, in 1960. In 1985 he met Swami Kriyananda in Italy who gave him the spiritual name Darshan and since then, as a member of Ananda Sangha, the spiritual movement founded by Kriyananda, and as an active practitioner of the meditation techniques brought to the West by the great Master from India, Paramhansa Yogananda, Darshan has been experimenting with integrated ways of applying spirituality to every field of social life. In 1992 he founded the Ananda Rome center which he co-directed for several years. Darshan has graduated in Italian and French literature at the Amsterdam and Rome universities and in music and violin at the Bari conservatory. He is a creative writer and choir director. In the late eighties he read Kriyananda’s book Education for Life and since then he has tried to integrate this approach to child education in his many actitivities with children, both as a teacher and a father. Darshan is a founding member of the Living Wisdom School Assisi which he co-directed for three years. He has conducted many summer camps at the Ananda Assisi community and is currently expanding his activities to Holland and America.
