This class meets Friday, Sept 11   7 – 8:30 pm  and Saturday, Sept 12  10 am – 4 pm
Cost includes both sessions and lunch on Saturday.

A continuation and expansion of the Meditation Teacher Training I offered in May 2015 with Nayaswami Pranaba Hansen. All are welcome – whether you attended Part I and want to build on your experience, or if this will be your first MTT class.

Ananda Meditation and the related techniques in this training are time-tested, traditional practices, based on the highest ancient yogic practices of India, as brought to the West by Paramhansa Yogananda.

For yoga teachers, students, professionals in health and wellness occupations, and anyone interested in learning skills to teach meditation and to deepen their own meditation practice, this two day interactive seminar will provide the instruction and tools for you to begin!

As a meditation teacher you’ll be able to help your students:

  • Improve their health
  • Become more effective in all areas of their lives
  • Achieve a balanced perspective
  • Experience an inner life
  • and above all, cultivate lasting happiness.

Lorna’s experience as a teacher to people of all ages and in a wide variety of venues, enables her to share a great deal of insight and techniques for being an effective teacher.  She approaches spiritual topics with practical wisdom and humor and will help you gain confidence in your ability to share meditation with others.

  • Flow Learning and planning your class to be the most dynamic
  • Meditation as a personal exploration, spiritual or not!
  • Planting seeds of inspiration and hope in every student

About Lorna Knox

Lorna Knox is a minister and lightbearer from the Ananda Portland, Oregon community. She found Ananda and became a disciple of Yogananda in 1981 and has been an active part of the Portland center for 30 years, experiencing their evolution from a small meditation group to an expansive work that includes an urban community, a temple, a school, a rural retreat center, a progressive assisted living ashram and a fledgling rural community. Lorna is the author of two books published by Crystal Clarity and a parent of three children. She has been married for 34 years to a saintly man who is deeply devoted to a Christian spiritual path and she offers a unique perspective on the teachings of Self-Realization that she lives with gratitude and humor and love.
