Demystifying Devotion: The Path of Bhakti @ Ananda Yoga and Meditation Center Dallas | Addison | Texas | United States

Bhakti Yoga is the path of using spiritual feeling to take our consciousness toward the Divine.

~ Paramhansa Yogananda

Join us as we explore the path of Bhakti Yoga and the methods of developing and deepening devotion on the spiritual path. Meditation, it has been said, is when the mind is still and the heart is open. Stilling the mind is not easy, but we are given wonderful meditation techniques to help with the process. What to do, on the other hand, about opening the heart?

Through pranayama exercises, chanting, and guided meditation we will experience an opening of the heart center (anahata chakra), and direct the energy thus released upward to the spiritual eye, awakening the divine potential within. Swami Sri Yukteswar stated:

“The first and most essential thing on the spiritual path is to uncover the natural love of the heart; without that one cannot take one step on the spiritual path.”

  • Demystifying devotion
  • Practical guidelines for awakening your highest potential through devotional practice
  • The art of loving God
  • “Divine love is without condition, without boundary, without change. The flux of the human heart is gone forever at the transfixing touch of pure love.”

We will be exploring:

  • The importance of devotion in our yoga practice
