Most of us are familiar with yoga postures; however this is only the outward physical expression of the inner reality of yoga -that of the energy body, which holds the key not only to our well-being but also to our spiritual upliftment and transformation.

In this experiential workshop, you will learn about the anatomy of the energy body: the chakras, the movement of energy in the spine, including kundalini, as it corresponds to energy levels and consciousness. You will find out how you can enhance your awareness of these energy flows through yoga postures, pranayama, chanting and meditation.

Join us for a full day (including a light vegetarian lunch!) on the art and science of Raja Yoga!

About The Art and Science of Raja Yoga:

This interactive class series is Ananda’s most comprehensive study of yoga principles, intended for anyone who wants to understand Yoga—and life—more deeply.This course is based on the book,  The Art and Science of Raja Yoga, by Swami Kriyananda, as taught by Paramhansa Yogananda, and is sold in the Ananda boutique. 

Each class includes yoga postures for all experience levels, pranayama, meditation and the philosophy behind it all. Taught by a variety of teachers  most of whom have nearly 20 years experience or more in practicing and presenting these teachings. This course is the second level of Kriya yoga as brought by Paramhansa Yogananda.
